HSE Policy
SajGas has undertaken studies to assess any possible impacts, including air quality, noise and visual intrusiveness. SajGas will ensure that public access to Sajaa Area is maintained and that the impact of the plant on the environment is minimised wherever possible.

Health & Safety
A Health and Safety Management Plan has been developed to provide guidance to all parties associated with the project to achieve the objectives and standards set by the Corporate Health and Safety Policies of SajGas and Petrofac International Limited. The Health and Safety Management Plan provides advice on safe work practices and safety procedures, safety inspections and audits, incident and accident management and information concerning occupational health. The Plan details actions required to establish and maintain high standards.

Environmental Impact Assessment
Dome International LLC has conducted an environmental impact assessment (EIA) study to ensure compliance with appropriate international and local standards and regulations. Detailed EIA work has been conducted in consultation with the Sharjah Municipality Environmental Protection Section following guidelines defined in the Environmental Permit Application and the requirements of the UAE Federal Environmental Law.

The study establishes current background levels of air, water, and noise emissions at the Sajaa site and reviews the impact of the new SajGas Plant on the surrounding areas. It addresses the environmental impact of the 30" offshore and onshore pipeline. The future levels of ambient air and water qualities and noise levels modelled from the Plant design and monitored to ensure that the new gas sweetening facilities, when engineered and constructed, comply with relevant standards and regulations.

The impact of the actual construction and that of the future expanded site operations are also considered. The landfall and onshore pipeline have been covered by another EIA report.
