SajGas PROJECT SET FOR LAUNCH THIS YEAR Sharjah. The Dh415 million ($113 million) SajGas project will become operational this year, a report said. The joint venture company established in mid-2004 between the Government of Sharjah and Crescent Petroleum, along with six prominent GCC investors, held a board meeting yesterday at the Sharjah Petroleum Council to review the progress of construction of the gas sweetening and sulphur recovery plant, said a Gulf News report. "SajGas has made substantial progress on construction of the plant, the turnkey contract for which is nearly 60 per cent complete," said Shaikh Sultan bin Ahmad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, deputy chairman of the Sharjah Petroleum Council and chairman of SajGas. |
